The word "eco" is very popular these days and it is pleasure to see that some companies are really trying to do something for our future.
The conventional steel structures are thing of the past, says Ericsson, and we believe them. Tower Tube is 5 meters in diameter and that is about 30 percent of traditional steel structures. And that means that less land has to be abducted from the landscape.
The new tower has all equipment at the top, and it reduces the need for cooling, which means it is more energy efficient. The process of manufacturing lowers the amount of carbon dioxide, so it seems that Ericsson’s engineers did a very good job here.
