Packaging Corp. to acquire Sacramento Container Corp, assets for $265m

Packaging Corporation of America announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Sacramento Container Corporation, and 100% of the membership interests of Northern Sheets and Central California Sheets in a cash-free, debt-free transaction for a cash purchase price of $265 million.

Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) announced that on August 21 work will begin on an $8 million infrastructure upgrade project that will replace approximately 2,444 feet of a natural gas pipeline on Vine Street from Cuerno Lago Way to Ramada Drive, near the Firestone Brewery in the city of Paso Robles.
