This means that the company complies with all Friend of the Sea requirements and can now display the official seal of approval on its products.

All of Freitasmar’s tuna is fished by Friend of the Sea certified supplier Frabelle, a fishing company from the Philippines. The fish is caught through purse seine method in the Western Central part of the Pacific Ocean.
Freitasmar is a Portuguese company, founded in 1994 and headquartered in Vila Nova de Gaia. The company produces a large variety of canned seafood products and distributes them internationally. ■
